ML Polyolefins recently signed an agreement with the University of Technology in Bydgoszcz Poland, continuing a long-standing cooperation.
The signing of the agreement took place at the Rector’s Office of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology on 14 March 2023. The agreement is a continuation of the cooperation between the Polytechnic and ML Polyolefins taking place so far, among other research and development projects in the field of recycling. The Technical University of Bydgoszcz is also one of the partners of the Packaging Circular Econoomy Certificates awarded by ML Polyolefins – for companies that care about the proper management of plastic packaging waste. The consortium: ML Polyolefins – Bydgoszcz University of Technology – Bydgoszcz Industrial Cluster – Technische Universität Chemnitz, Germany, at the PLATINUM PLAST event during the 26th PLASTPOL International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing, received a medal for innovative technology in the ‘Plastics Processing Technologies’ category, which confirms that ML company is a leader of innovation in the mechanical recycling process.
During the meeting, the scope of cooperation and the action plan for the coming months were discussed in detail, and the signatures on the agreement were placed by the rector of PBŚ Prof. Marek Adamski and the president of ML Polyolefins Tomasz Mikulski. The signed agreement expands the possibilities for cooperation in new areas.
In order to be a forward-looking company, it is necessary to look for new forms of development, therefore cooperation between science and business is the key to introducing innovative solutions for the development of such an important area of the economy as plastics recycling- says Tomasz Mikulski. – As a company, we get involved in various projects because this brings us closer to achieving sustainable development goals – adds the CEO of ML.
In the current environment, the introduction of innovations requires the cooperation of the scientific and business sectors. This is becoming the basis for the development not only of companies and universities, but also of the economy as a whole. This can also be seen in plastics recycling, which is a dynamically changing industry on the one hand, and a key sector for the realisation of the idea of a circular economy on the other.
